Dan Line-Bell has many titles (formal & informal): engineer, entrepreneur, mathematician, physicist & cyberneticist. He is currently a graduate student at the University of Colorado Boulder engineering department and before that pursued a M.Sc. Mechatronic Systems Engineering and a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Denver and University of Colorado Denver, respectively.

His time is spent designing and building various technologies that pull from several fields such as biomimetics/bioelectronics, robotics, plasma nanoengineering, and nuclear fusion energy. His free time is spent exploring, among many things, linguistics, epistemology, ontology, and science fiction.

Some of the major projects he is currently working on are a neural-interfaced biomimetic eye for restored and enhanced human vision, surgical robotics, plasma nanoengineering reactor, compact nuclear fusion energy, and a scientifically rigorous framework for the phenomenon of consciousness.

He is inspired by the pursuit to the limit of human knowledge and the crossover with science fiction to enable the creation of innovative technologies. Some of his favorite science fiction is Star Trek the Next Generation, Iron Man, Fringe, Ghost in the Shell, Raised by Wolves, and Blade Runner.

His lifelong goal is to ensure humankind will live among the stars within our lifetimes and is working vivaciously to bring us to that future.
